ABOUT ME
There are lots of “About Me” stories I could tell, but my favorite is about me today, right now. Lately, after finishing up a new design it seems to say “I want to get out of this studio, go somewhere new and spread my wings, meet the world head on”! With my good wishes and a loving “bon voyage” I send them on their way to new homes and happy adventures.
It has been said that the power of design can change our hearts, our emotions, and our connection to the world. Knowing that my designs may encourage a smile, a laugh, a memory, or create a sense of place or peacefulness verifies I have been successful doing my job today.
If my designs had to describe themselves they would likely say each is different in little ways. Yet they would all agree many share the same characteristics. Organic and textural, orderly and graphic, whimsical or sophisticated with some working in tandem and some being independent. Lots of designs to choose from here with collaboration always an open door for new and exciting ideas.
If you see a design that strikes your fancy let’s talk about it!
DESIGN HISTORY
I have followed a winding road that has allowed me creative expression in the fields of surface pattern design, interior design, and visual merchandise design. These experiences have allowed me to do what I love; work with color, balance and form.
My recent experience includes 10 years employed as an in-house designer for a ceramic dish ware manufacturer. This position included creating designs for our custom lines as well as commissioned designs based on our client’s needs. I was also fortunate to work with many talented freelance designers in creating marketable designs for our client base.
