A fist full of crayons, a pot of poster paint, or a chunk of clay could draw me into a world of adventure that few other activities could challenge. I knew whatever I did when I grew up had to have a creative edge. I have followed a winding road that has allowed me to experience many different areas of creative expression, all linked together but also different as well. From interior design, visual merchandising, and surface pattern design this road has allowed me to continue to do what I love the most, work with color, balance and form.
For the last 10 years I worked as an in-house designer for a dishware manufacturer creating designs for production. This position also allowed me to work with many freelance designers in creating designs based on the needs of our retail clients. I am currently working from my studio as a freelance designer as well as continuing to work with my former employer on a contract basis. This is the best of both worlds to me.
